Bio-Science   After 10+2

Bio-Science

Medicine bridges the gap between science and society. Indeed, the application of scientific knowledge to human health is a crucial aspect of clinical practice. Doctors are one important agent through which that scientific understanding is expressed. But medicine is more than the sum of our knowledge about disease. Medicine concerns the experiences, feelings, and interpretations of human beings in often extraordinary moments of fear, anxiety, and doubt. In this extremely vulnerable position, Bio-Science profession is one of the most respected professions in our society. Here are some paths of Bio-Science through which you can serve the society.

Eligibility for Bio-Science

Students who has passed 10+2 exams with Science Stream is eligible for admission.

Microbiology

B.Sc Microbiology is a bachelor's degree . Microbiology is the study of microscopic organisms, such as bacteria, viruses, archaea, fungi and protozoa. This discipline includes fundamental research on the biochemistry, physiology, cell biology, ecology,   evolution and clinical aspects of microorganisms, including the host response to these agents The duration of the B.Sc Microbiology is 3 years and typically consists of 6 semesters.

Bio.Technology

B.Sc Microbiology is a bachelor's degree . Biotechnology is a multi-disciplinary course and various programs have been developed to meet the growing demand for trained manpower to carry out meaningful biotechnology activity in the country. In the   last decade, Banasthali University has emerged as a leading center for education and research in biotechnology and allied disciplines. The programs are designed to expose the students to recent exciting developments in the area of Biotechnology/   Bioscience/ Microbiology/ Bioinformatics and their application in industry, agriculture and medicine. The duration of the B.Sc Microbiology is 3 years and typically consists of 6 semesters.

Genetics

B.Sc. Genetics - Stands for Bachelor of Genetics. Typically, a B.Sc. is a three year course, minimum eligibility for which is an intermediate (10+2) in science. Genetics is a branch of biology that scientifically studies genes, heredity and variations in   living organisms. Subjects usually studied under this degree are Cell Biology, Microbial Genetics & Technology, Biostatistics, Population Genetics, Genome Organization, Biochemistry, Gene Development, DNA Technology etc.
